The Big Bug Show

"Big Bugs" include an enormous varity of different species; from the Giant Stick Insects in Africa to the Huge Goliath Beetles found in Asia. We give the general name “bug” to most arthropods (creatures with a segmented body, exoskeleton and jointed legs) including insects, spiders, scorpions, millipedes and woodlice. However, very few of these are really bugs. “Bugs” belong to an order of insects called Hemiptera.

Big Bugs is a brilliant introduction to the invertebrate world for both children and adults who have an interest in these amazing animals. It is well written and brightly illustrated. It is bound to generate a keen interest in the small things that run the world and enthuse a whole new generation of entomologists.
